Babies and Toddlers Swimming Lessons
Help your child become comfortable and confident in and around the water with our GOswim program for Infants and Preschoolers! Lessons are designed for babies six months and up, catering for infant, toddler and preschool participants attending with their parents or guardians.
To encourage learning and support a safe environment, parents/guardians are required to be in the water for lessons until the child is 3 years old
We understand that your first lesson can be slightly daunting but with a fully trained and accredited Austswim teacher present at all times there is nothing to worry about.
Please be aware that parents should have an understanding of water skills and safety that they can introduce to their child. If required, we can offer parents/guardians further aquatic education with mainstream adult swimming lessons.
Lesson Times
Wantirna Swim School runs lessons for babies and preschoolers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings and Monday through Thursday afterschool hours.
Lesson times is subject to availability of spaces and may change. Please contact us for any further information about times and days.

Baby and me lessons are amazing for familiarising your child with the water and for early childhood development.
You can prepare your baby for swimming before you even get to the swimming pool. Use bath time at home to get your baby use to the feeling of splashing and being immersed in water.

Membership Fees
Membership fees are due and payable via direct debit. This fee covers the cost of the lesson and holds the student’s place in class. A separate document detailing terms and conditions related to direct debit payments is available from reception.
Essentials for Each Lesson
• A towel for after lessons
• Goggles and cap (optional). Please ensure both items are adjusted and properly fitted prior to lesson
• An appropriate swim nappy, if you have a child who is not toilet trained. A normal nappy is not permitted in the pool
• A hat, beanie and dressing gown to keep warm in winter after your lesson!
• A healthy, non-contagious student. We ask that you be considerate if your child is unwell
• A happy cheery smile and lots of energy!
Missed Lessons
Each student has 6 make up classes per year (2 hours notice is required and 14 days to use the make up)
A suspension can be applied when a medical certificate is provided, within 7 days.
