Are the Swim Teachers Qualified?
Our swim lessons are only conducted by fully qualified AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia trained Swim Teachers. Our team has a range of different teaching practices and a variety of male and female teachers.
Can I change days and times once we get started?
Of course you can! Our industry leading technology means you can see our all of our class vacancies across the week in real time and change to something more suitable.
Can I start anytime throughout the year?
Yes, you are welcome to start anytime during the year
Can I take photos of my child?
Yes, you’re welcome to take photos of your child but please be mindful of other children and parents who may not wish their children to be photographed

How do I get updates on my child’s progress?
The Activeworld app has been designed to provide feedback on your childs development after every lesson and at the end of each term.
By downloading our app, your child will also be able to receive awards and certificates for participation and achievement of milestones.
In addition, the swim school teachers will be available to discuss progress with you one on one.
How long are Swimming Lessons?
Swimming lessons run for 30 minutes
What age can my child learn to swim?
From 6 months old
What if my child misses a lesson?
Each student has 6 make up classes per year (2 hours notice is required and 14 days to use the make up)
A suspension can be applied when a medical certificate is provided, within 7 days.
What is the Class Size?
We run a boutique program and offer class sizes smaller than many of our competitors so we can focus on results. Class sizes range from between 4-6 participants depending on the level.
What is the cost?
$19 per class (weekly Direct Debit) with a once-off Enrolment fee of $20
The enrolment fee covers the initial cost of setting up the membership and all ongoing administration and our app access through the life of the membership.
What is the pool temperature and depth?
The water temperature is 32 degrees and air temperature is 27 degrees. Our pool depth transitions from is 0.9 metres to 1.1 metres.
What is your cancellation policy?
We hate to see people go but we understand there are lots of reasons why it happens. Hopefully we can help first if something comes up that is a barrier to continuing but if not, parents just need to notify us in writing with 4 weeks notice that they will be leaving the program.

Wantirna Swim School proudly partners with Swimming Australia to deliver students an effective program that focuses on contemporary experiential and activity-based learning techniques, as well as inspiring students to explore pathways into competitive and recreation lap swimming.
Our program is a shift from ‘command’ to experiential style teaching, reflecting a modern approach to teaching that will result in enhanced learning outcomes. Our curriculum incorporates progressive levels combining water safety with learning swimming strokes for infants, pre-schoolers, primary school aged children, teens, access and inclusion and adults.
What to bring to each lesson?
• A towel for after lessons
• Goggles and cap (optional). Please ensure both items are adjusted and properly fitted prior to lesson
• An appropriate swim nappy, if you have a child who is not toilet trained. A normal nappy is not permitted in the pool
• A hat, beanie and dressing gown to keep warm in winter after your lesson!
• A healthy, non-contagious student. We ask that you be considerate if your child is unwell
• A happy cheery smile and lots of energy!
Will my child have the same teacher every week?
Yes. We aim to keep coaches consistent in classes, but your teacher may change as your child moves through the program.
